  • Medium: Acrylic on canvas

  • Size: 60 × 90 cm

“Behind the Door” is a series of faceless naked figures, caught between presence and absence, certainty and the unknown.
It’s an exploration of the self, a meditation on the moments before change, and an invitation to consider what we leave behind when we step into the unknown. The door whether visible or merely implied becomes a metaphor for transition, secrecy, and self-discovery.

🔴 A Threshold Between Past and Future
The figure exists in liminality, hovering between where they have been and where they are going. The question lingers: Are they stepping forward into something new, or are they trapped in what was?

🔴 A Place of Secrecy or Revelation
What happens behind the door? It could be a space of transformation, solitude, or hidden truths waiting to be revealed.

    🔴 Anonymity and Identity
With no defined face, the figure becomes universal. It could be anyone, a reflection of the viewer’s own emotions, memories, or fears. The absence of features challenges us: Does identity come from within, or is it shaped by what’s behind the door?

"Behind the Door" is an exploration of the self, a meditation on the moments before change, and an invitation to consider what we leave behind when we step into the unknown.
